It’s a common misconception that all fat is unhealthy, but that’s not the case with Wagyu beef. Wagyu gets its marbling (delicate white lacing) from intramuscular fat (IMF). This IMF is full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fat, making Wagyu the healthiest beef you can eat.
Along with healthy fat, Wagyu’s marbling also gives our meat a creamy texture and buttery flavor like you’ve never experienced before. Our top-quality Wagyu beef ranges between 28-40% IMF, far above the 10-12% IMF of USDA Prime beef.
The ratio of monounsaturated fat to saturated fat in our Wagyu is 2:1, compared to 1:1 in all other breeds. Wagyu also has plenty of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, and it can decrease your LDL (bad) cholesterol while increasing your HDL (good) cholesterol.
